- Performs a physical exam based upon age and patient history as per the Standard Care Arrangement with a collaborating physician.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory tests and other diagnostic studies to assess patient's clinical problems and health care needs.
- Develops a treatment plan in collaboration with the physician and members of the multidisciplinary care team.
- May prescribe and monitor medications as allowed by state and University of Cincinnati Medical Center prescriptive authority.
- Actively participate in research relative to area of specialty.
- Actively develop and participate in providing evidence-based education presentations and other learning activities for diverse disciplines.
- Participate in Medical Team Rounds.
- Actively involved with Quality Management, data collection and performance improvement initiatives.
- Other activities and/or duties assigned to achieve the overall mission of the position within the Department.
Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialtyRequired Experience:Three (3) years nursing experience
Additional related work experience may be required depending on specialty/sub-specialty-OR-Minimum Requirements, Physician Assistant:Required Education:Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant programRequired Trainings/Certifications:Active Ohio Physician Assistant license with prescriptive authority
Certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician AssistantsRequired Experience:Minimum of one (1) year experience is required
