Overview:Supervises and coordinates activities of production workers. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the daily direction of plant operations including machine operators, skilled trades, and shipping.
  • Improves operating efficiency by working with employee teams and future planning with Process and Product Engineering and Plant Manager.
  • Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Administer Collective Bargaining Agreement
  • Responsible for directing and coordinating shipments and signing manifests of hazardous waste materials (see Contingency plan for training requirements).
  • Must be able to fulfill all customer requirements associated with the position.
  • Drives continuous improvement throughout the facility.
  • Identify process roadblocks and challenges.
  • Uses problem solving techniques such as 5 Why’s and Root Cause Analysis
  • Drives processes
Qualifications:Four-year degree3 to 5 years’ experience supervising in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.Supervisor experience in a unionized environment with the ability to administer the collective bargaining agreement.Must be highly motivated and have strong people skills.Must posses leadership characteristics and be able to make sound decisionsKnowledge of S.P.C., computer skills and experience on transfer and progressive tooling is a must.Union Experience
