If you’re ready to lead with purpose and inspire excellence, we’d like to talk to you.This position will manage the Cardiac Echo Sonography program across the Legacy Health system and provides an excellent opportunity for a leader with experience in this area to help grow and mature our Echo Sonography program, collaborating with staff of varying levels of experience and expertise in this area. While this position will provide onsite support at all five of our medical center campuses that provide cardiac echo sonography services, including Emanuel / Randall Children's Hospital, Good Samaritan, Meridian Park, Mount Hood and Salmon Creek, this position will be based out of the Emanuel Medical Center / Randall Children's Hospital campus.ResponsibilitiesThe Cardiac Echo Sonography Program Manager is responsible for the leadership and day-to-day operations of the system-wide Legacy Health Cardiac Echo Sonography Program. Collaborates with the Cardiac Service Line Director, Medical Director, physicians, site managers, and other members of the patient care team on planning, development and implementation of program goals and operations to provide excellence in patient care. The Program Manager promotes use of evidence-based guidelines and ensures compliance with state and national standards of care for the cardiac patient population. Mentors hospital-based Echo Sonographers and promotes best practice sharing across the system. Demonstrates a firm clinical knowledge base in cardiac echo sonography across all ages. Exhibits clinical leadership, promotes professional development and the advancement of clinical practice and is a change agent/role model. Provides ongoing education and training for clinical staff, patients and family members and the greater communities Legacy serves. Serves as a liaison between the hospitals, physicians, pre-hospital providers and administration and supports regional outreach strategy.QualificationsEducation:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education/formal training and experience required.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Ultrasound Program required.
Experience:
  • Minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in Cardiac Imaging Services required.
  • Previous management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership expertise, financial management, project management and leading quality/safety/performance improvement initiatives required.
  • Thorough knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, and workflow planning preferred.
Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Adept at data collection, data entry, report generation and data analysis.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with professional speaking with external and internal audiences.
  • Critical thinking and organizational skills including ability to prioritize and delegate work appropriately.
Licensure
  • The current state license in Sonography is required for all employees who perform this job in the state(s) of practice. In the state of Oregon, additionally, the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license to practice is mandatory.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credentials are required at the time of hire.
  • Pediatric credentials (PE) required (dependent upon site) for testing patients
