
Senior Financial Analyst

- Build and maintain strong relationships with plant and operational leadership.
- Fully understand production and operational drivers impacting financial performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and contribute meaningfully to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a financial partner to plant leadership, providing insights that guide operational decisions and improve performance.
- Perform preparation, analysis, and communication of monthly financial results, including plant cost performance, inventory, and key operational metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, sales, human resources, engineering, quality, and supply chain to support process improvements and cost control initiatives.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities for plant operations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial statements.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models, reports, and dashboards to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Perform variance analysis on material usage, labor efficiency, production volume, and overhead costs; communicate findings and recommend actions.
- Provide financial support for capital investment projects, including analysis, ROI modeling, and post-implementation reviews.
- Oversee the annual physical inventory count and ensure its accuracy.
- Possess a deep understanding of the General Ledger and segmentation processes within operational plants.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements while identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA, CMA, or MBA strongly preferred.
- 4+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, ideally within a manufacturing or plant-based environment.
- Demonstrated ability to partner directly with operational leaders and communicate financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (QAD or Syspro preferred), Excel, and financial reporting tools; experience with Power BI or other analytics platforms is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work on-site full-time in Elgin, IL and engage directly with plant operations on a daily basis.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment where adaptability and initiative are key.
- Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
