The position reports to the General Counsel and is based in Sirtex's headquarters in Woburn, MA. Candidates must be available to come into the office (hybrid schedule is currently minimum of 3 days in office and 2 days remote).PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Independently draft and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including agreements with customers, distributors, suppliers, service providers, and advisors.
- Review contract terms to confirm compliance with company policies and federal and state regulations applicable to medical device companies.
- Clearly explain contract terminology to business partners in simple, everyday language.
- Self-monitor progress according to target completion dates.
- Proofread and fact-check legal documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Minimum of undergraduate degree from an accredited university required.
- J.D. or similar advanced degree is a plus.
- At least 5 years of independently drafting and negotiating commercial agreements from start to finish.
- Experience working within the life sciences, healthcare, or other highly regulated industry.
