This resource needs to have large ERP data migration experience, preferrable Workday.Top Desired Skills:
1) Experience with Large ERP Data migration, preferably with Workday
2) Ability to meeting with the business and Product Owner and drive meetings, create uses cases based on the project meetings and groom stories for the development teams, create workflow diagrams, etc
2) Experience working with General Ledger Financial systems and understand Accounts payable/Accounts Receivable, revenue, liabilities, expenses, billing, etc.
3) Ability to communicate between the technical teams and business to provide status updates and drive the projects forward. Ensure the technical teams know the requirements and can translate business needs to technical specs.
4) Strong Data Analysis skills: Data flow diagrams, understanding source to target mapping, and can create models and SQL queries.Summary:
The Senior IT Data/Business Analyst role leads business and functional requirements gathering activities, business solution design and systems analysis. This role is guided by the CDW IT project management methodology in development of requirement specifications for IT projects.As a Sr. Business Data Analyst for an ERP workstream (Workday Finance/ HR) you will be responsible for:
  • Leading the data readiness activities for a workstream and related workstreams as need/ capacity allows
  • Liaison with System Implementation partner on future state data readiness requirements
  • perform analysis / data mapping to load data from Workday to the new data platform
  • Maintaining the data readiness backlog, including own and tasks of business SMEs
  • Assisting the PM for data readiness activities in the business
  • Document the business requirements for migration to target state
  • Document the source to target mapping for migration to target state and assessing data gaps
  • Document the business requirements for data retention
  • Guide and assist the business SMEs in documenting data standards and business rules
  • Working with ERP architecture team to identify / review integration points
  • Development and execution of data quality tests in Snowflake, design of a data quality dashboard (in alignment with other workstream analysts)
  • Assisting the business to define the data improvement plans, including the approach, tasks and tools to correct the data Education/Experience
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify project requirements and business objectives and acquire commitments on complex projects.
- Decompose business problems quickly and work with the project team to determine the root cause and provide solution alternatives.
- Derive a detailed understanding of the stated business problem and objectives and work with the stakeholder and technical team toward resolution to achieve the objectives.
- Plan and facilitate requirements gathering utilizing focus sessions, one-on-one interviews, and job shadowing.
- Utilize advanced modeling techniques to develop high-level system narratives, presentations, storyboards, use cases and user interface prototypes.
- Work with QA team to develop system test plans, ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished.
- Serve as the thought leader in advanced modeling techniques to help define business processes, system usage, behavior and information capture.
- Gather and prepare supporting analysis and design documentation from a business perspective.
- Act as an active contributor to SDLC process improvement by remaining current in software engineering best practices.
- Assist with alignment of project objectives and IT solutions to CDW business strategies and objectives.
- Develop strong internal relationships with key stakeholders and subject-matter experts across the organization.
- Serve as an active contributor to company-shared knowledge repositories (wikis, blogs, sharepoint, intranet, etc.).
- Mentor and educate IT and business colleagues about business analysis discipline and requirements phase within development lifecycle.
- Maintain an understanding of innovative IT product capabilities, marketplace and business opportunities.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- We are looking for a resource to help us perform analysis / data mapping to load data from Workday to the new data platform. Ideally this candidate would have Workday experience and some level of accounting / finance experience and have SQL skills.
- Need to be able to work with business Product teams to extract requirements and then groom the stories for the technical teams.
- SAFe Agile experience is a plus.Work Environment:

CDW is sunsetting 2 legacy financial systems (IBM I and Peoplesoft) and migrating to WorkDay. This will reduce redundancies as CDW works with 1 financial system. This BDA will assist to Enable the ability to deliver a true microservices architecture that allows for the sharing of enterprise data assets by multiple downstream consumers
