Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Licensed Veterinary Technician, you will provide high-
quality patient care and assist in diagnostic, medical and surgical procedures for large and small
animals. You will work alongside a team of dedicated professionals and have access to diagnostic
equipment and adaptive facilities. At The Groton City Animal Hospital, we are committed to

life balance for our employees.Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and perform veterinary nursing care, including medication
- Communicate with clients regarding patient status, treatment plans, and home care instructions.
- Assist with diagnostic procedures (radiographs and ultrasounds) and routine surgical procedures.
- Perform laboratory work, including hematology, serology, chemistry, urinalysis and microbiology.
- Monitor and maintain anesthetic levels and surgical equipment.
- Train and mentor other staff members and veterinary assistant students.
- Maintain and ensure patient medical records are accurate and complete.
- Associate degree or higher in Veterinary Technology.
- State Veterinary Technician license current, and in good standing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and practice management software.
