You'll capitalize on their proven track record in government partnerships to create new opportunities in the commercial marketplace, with the independence to establish and implement your growth philosophy.Responsibilities:Build & Own Commercial Sales
  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate new commercial markets
  • Launch and scale our client's commercial division from the ground up as the founding sales & development leader
  • Own the full sales cycle from lead generation to close, consistently exceeding quarterly targets
Drive Strategic Growth
  • Build market intelligence and competitive analysis to stay ahead of industry trends
  • Partner with senior leadership to align commercial and defense strategies
  • Identify high-value opportunities in the tech sector and convert them into revenue
Lead & Scale the Team
  • Mentor junior staff while establishing processes and KPIs for sustainable growth
  • Define the team roadmap and build a high-performing commercial sales team
  • Foster a data-driven culture using HubSpot to optimize pipeline performance
Cultivate Key Relationships
  • Create compelling proposals and narratives that differentiate our client's tech solutions
  • Build C-level relationships with enterprise clients and strategic partners
  • Transform our client's proven government success into commercial market dominance
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and operations to ensure seamless delivery
Requirements
  • Results-Oriented: A drive for performance excellence and hitting/exceeding sales KPIs
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to identify commercial opportunities, navigate complex problems, and lead teams through solutions
  • Proven Sales Leadership: 3-5 years of experience in a sales leadership role, preferably in commercial tech or tech solutions, with a track record of exceeding targets and driving sales growth
  • Travel: Ability to travel as needed (up to 25% of the time)
  • Bachelors degree in Business or related field
  • Commercial Acumen: A deep understanding of how to scale sales strategies in new markets, ideally with a blend of both B2B and B2G (Government) sales experience
  • Self-Starter: Proactive, with a bias for action, you take ownership of your sales pipeline and results
  • Eligibility for Security Clearance: Must be eligible for Security Clearance
  • Exceptional Sales Skills: Expertise in leading complex sales cycles, generating leads, building relationships, and closing large deals in the tech sector
  • CRM Expertise: Experience with CRM platforms like HubSpot to track and manage sales processes, metrics, and forecasts
  • Excellent Communication: Clear, confident, and engaging communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with high-level stakeholders and build persuasive proposals
