- Implementation of new brand identities across the enterprise
- Providing strategic brand recommendations on key enterprise initiatives
- Interface with internal and external partners in coordination of brand projects
- Support creation of, and insight extraction from, research to have a data driven approach to drive brand strategy, business growth and success
- Elevate the new brand narrative and identity, partnering with our creative teams and agencies to ensure consistent application
- Define positioning and messaging across various go-to-market and brand relationship situations
- Serve as a thought leader within the organization, partnering with teams across the company to provide clear decisions and guidance on brand needs and application. This often includes creating and hosting bespoke workshops to tackle brand strategy opportunities
- Partner within Brand Management team to ensure consistent application of the brand and to coordinate brand guidance
- Lead and support strategic assignments
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned
- Demonstrated experience navigating a dynamic corporate environment and a self-starter who builds partnerships and proactively pitch opportunities for the brand strategy team to partner and elevate the brand strategy within the enterprise
- 4-6+ years of experience in brand strategy or related field
- Strong ability to distill strategy and brand team perspectives into executive summaries and strategy documents for others to understand
- Attention to detail, action and task oriented to get projects started and completed on deadlines
- Ability to influence teams and leaders to live the brand though actions, experiences, services based on brand behaviors and beliefs
- A passion for problem solving, creative expression, and improving the way companies relate to clients and customers
- A curiosity and willingness to push your thinking, attack issues from multiple angles and stretch yourself to provide outstanding brand ideas and strategy
- Experience with brand/marketing strategy for B2C and/or B2B with messaging to multiple target groups
- Experience collaborating and scoping projects with agencies and creative resources (internal/external)
- Experience in leveraging data and research to inform strategy and execution
- Persuasive storyteller and original thinker
- Knowledge of the creative campaign and media process
- Well-honed communication skills and experience working with and presenting to senior leaders, enabling the partnership with others to effectively inform and influence while building trust
- Experienced in anticipating, understanding, and meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to translate business strategy and goals into brand strategy and liaison with communications, marketing and creative teams to bring it all to life
- Strong business and financial acumen; experience creating zero-based budgets and proving cases for corporate investment in strategic projects in support of the brand strategy
- Ability to create and manage budgets to fund brand strategy initiatives, partnering with internal teams to identify key efforts and create business cases for investments that fuel the brands
- Writing skills and ability to create strategic frameworks
- Presentation skills and ability to distil complex information into executive summaries
- Experience working in a matrixed environment and presenting decisive recommendations
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously and execute with ambiguity
- Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative group
- Effective under pressure
- Experience in Healthcare is preferred, an interest in understanding the US healthcare system is a must
- Ability to work from a Cigna office 50% of the time
