A respected heavy civil contractor is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead WV Department of Highways (DOH) bridge and infrastructure projects from their Charleston, WV office. With projects across the state, this leadership role offers the chance to oversee multiple jobs and mentor junior team members while remaining primarily office-based (80% office / 20% field).The ideal candidate will have strong experience with WV DOT, estimating, and managing crews and subcontractors. You'll work closely with leadership, lead a team of PMs, and play a key role in delivering projects on time and on budget.Key Responsibilities:Manage 3–4 Project Managers and oversee up to 12 active projects statewideLead project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and executionInterface with WV DOT and other public agency clientsReview and approve estimates; HCSS estimating software experience a plusEnsure compliance with contracts, safety standards, and state regulationsMentor junior PMs and foster a high-performance team cultureMonitor job costs, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and change ordersTravel to job sites as needed (approximately 20%)Qualifications:8–10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction project managementStrong knowledge of WV DOT standards and proceduresProven ability to manage multi-million-dollar bridge or road projectsExperience overseeing multiple teams and active jobs simultaneouslyProficient in construction documentation and reportingEstimating experience required; HCSS experience is a strong plusBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred
