Do you have a heart for caregiving and the experience to back it up? Home Instead is seeking dependable and compassionate Rapid Response Caregivers to join our flexible care team, helping seniors live safely and comfortably at home. As part of our caregiver pool, you’ll step in to cover shifts when regular caregivers are out sick or on vacation. You’ll be contacted only when there’s a need—no waiting around. If you’re available, great! If not, we simply move on to the next team member. It’s a no-pressure way to make a meaningful impact on your schedule. We ask for a commitment of at least 4 shifts per month, though there’s plenty of work available if you’re looking for more.Key Responsibilities:
As an On-Call Caregiver, you will be expected to perform all duties listed in our standard Caregiver role, including:
  • Personal Care: Assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, mobility, medication reminders, and meal prep.
  • Companionship: Offering emotional support and companionship.
  • Home Helper Tasks: Light housekeeping, laundry, and errands.
  • Specialty Care: Dementia care, hospice support, medication assistance, and behavior management.
  • Overnight Care: As needed, provide awake and alert supervision.
On-Call Specific Requirements:
  • Must be available to complete 3 full days of paid orientation and training.
  • Must be available between 8:00 AM and 10:00 PM.
  • Must commit to at least 4 on-call shifts per month (30-day period).
  • Must be ready and willing to perform all the services offered by our Care Professionals.
  • Ability to work with all clients.
  • Must have prior care-giving experience (professional or significant personal care-giving experience preferred).
Qualifications:
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and manage physical caregiving tasks.
  • Clear communication skills in English.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
