- Directs workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings
- Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies
- Inspects completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards
- Studies production schedules and estimates worker-hour requirements for completion of job assignments
- Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase the efficiency of work crew.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems
- Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals

- Confers with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

- Execute the strategic vision and direction of the Engineering Department, aligning with the resort’s overall goals.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to the maintenance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence, while ensuring accountability.
- Implement, train, and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.
- Assist in managing the Engineering Department’s budget, including capital reservations, P&L reviews, and expense forecasting.
- Participate in developing and managing maintenance programs, procedures, and schedules to optimize departmental efficiency.
- Support the planning and execution of major capital improvement projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify maintenance needs, safety issues, and areas for improvement.
- Serve as a liaison with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to facilitate efficient and cost-effective maintenance operations.
- Manage the procurement and inventory of all tools and materials purchased or assigned to the Engineering Department.
- Ability to create documents using Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in using resort operations software and devices (HotSOS).
- Communicate professionally through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions.
- Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as needed.
- Expert ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and O&M manuals.
- Must be able to recognize and resolve potential hazards on the property.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and battery-powered tools, along with other relevant tools required for the job.
- Ability to work using ladders, scaffolding, lifts, dust masks, and within confined or restricted spaces.
- Capable of understanding and addressing guest needs with positive interactions toward resolution.
- Must adhere to all CFI/Westgate Resorts policies and procedures.

- 2+ years of leadership experience in a resort or commercial environment
- Preferred licenses or certifications in key trades such as refrigeration, plumbing, or electrical.
- OSHA safety certification is preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in outdoor weather conditions
- Must be detail-oriented with effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to various tasks, perform effectively under pressure, and meet deadlines consistently
