We are seeking an Environmental Test Technician to join our team in Elmhurst, IL. Entry-level position with opportunity for advancement to Test Engineer I role within 6-to-12 months.Candidates must be comfortable with regional travel and working outdoors. Company vehicle provided for travel. All travel time, expenses, lodging + additional $72 per diem are paid by company.Responsibilities
  • Perform air emissions testing and monitoring services at industrial facilities.
  • Transport equipment to sites using a company vehicle, set up and dismantle testing equipment.
  • Record data and collect samples during testing.
  • Calibrate testing equipment and assist engineers in air quality testing procedures.
  • Follow environmental, health, and safety protocols.
  • Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming jobs.
  • Maintain and clean testing equipment.
Qualifications
  • B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in field testing, maintenance, industrial, or hands-on roles is preferred.
  • Able to travel (regional) as required during the standard work week, Monday-Friday
  • Comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Employees typically earn $50,000-$60,000 with overtime their first year.
