- Process Development & Optimization:
- Design, document, and improve manufacturing processes, including writing detailed manufacturing instructions and routings.
- Develop and implement work instructions for manufacturing operations, ensuring consistency and quality across production lines.
- New Product Integration:
- Coordinate the successful transition of new products and technologies from design to production, ensuring manufacturability and scalability.
- Support prototyping activities and collaborate in concurrent engineering design reviews to ensure production readiness.
- Tooling & Equipment Design:
- Design and procure tools, fixtures, and equipment necessary for efficient production.
- Evaluate production tools and equipment for performance improvements and operational enhancements.
- Production Support:
- Monitor and coordinate production operations, ensuring adherence to established processes and quality standards.
- Evaluate and solve production issues to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Project Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead and participate in Lean Manufacturing initiatives to reduce waste, improve processes, and enhance productivity.
- Prepare and manage appropriation requests, quotes, and project documentation.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure all production processes comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including process validation (PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including drawings, routings, and specifications.
- Customer Engagement and Support:
- Provide expert guidance on material selection, manufacturing processes, and magnet performance for customer-specific applications.
- Serve as a point of contact for addressing customer inquiries, troubleshooting issues, and to understand their technical needs and product requirements.

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with hands-on expertise in process development and validation.
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing and proficiency in CAD software.
- Strong knowledge of process and equipment validation (PFMEA, IQ/OQ/PQ).

- Strong project management skills, with the ability to take initiative and see projects through to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to production challenges.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate across departments and convey technical information clearly.
- May be exposed to industrial oils, solvents, coolants, adhesives, and other chemicals. All safety precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) are required.
- The facility is climate-controlled, but some areas may have excessive noise, requiring ear protection.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Periodic lifting of materials up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching may be required.
- Repetitive tasks involving manual dexterity may be part of the role.
