- Lead the accounting function including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, fixed assets, revenue recognition, and inventory accounting.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
- Maintain and evolve accounting policies, systems, and internal controls that support the companys evolving needs.
- Oversee preparation of audited financial statements and lead the external audit process.
- Manage tax compliance and filings with external tax consultants.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive treasury strategy, including cash forecasting, liquidity planning, capital allocation, and banking relationships, include quarterly and annual debt compliance filings.
- Manage day-to-day cash operations and ensure optimal cash flow across domestic and international entities.
- Partner with FP&A to forecast cash needs and support strategic investment decisions.
- Implement controls to safeguard assets, reduce financial risk, and optimize working capital
- Collaborate with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Sales, Operations, and eCommerce to support margin optimization, operational efficiencies, and inventory management.
- Provide accounting and treasury insights for product launches, retail expansion, and international growth initiatives.
- Lead technical accounting assessments and develop memos for complex transactions
- Drive process improvements and automation within the accounting function (e.g., ERP enhancements, reconciliations, reporting tools).
- Ensure integration and scalability of financial systems with internal tools and external platforms (e.g., Shopify, inventory management and PO system, bank portals, etc.).
- Continuously identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and increase accuracy.
- Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts, including high-volume sales across multiple retail and DTC channels.
- Manage and mentor a growing accounting team including AP, AR, GL, finance and payroll.
- Design team structure and hire key talent to support evolving business needs.

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification.
- 10+ years of controllership experience, including public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and in-house controllership at a high-growth CPG, beauty, or retail company.
- Deep knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, and accounting operations.
- Experience in a fast-paced CPG, beauty, or retail environment with >$300M in annual revenue.
- Exposure to private equity-backed company dynamics and financial reporting for board and investor audiences
- Experience with accounting for physical product businesses (inventory, COGS, channel complexity).
- Outstanding written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills.
- Strong systems knowledge (e.g., SAP, Netsuite, or similar ERP, treasury platforms).
- Exposure to DTC and omnichannel revenue models.
