Administers and coordinates the services and program activities in dependency, mental illness, youth development, or physical or developmental disability programs.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Supports, supervises, and coach blind vendor managers in the operations of their facilities.
  • Perform site analysis for possible new opportunity for a blind vendor.
  • Once opportunity is granted, the Consultant determines the type of location i.e. snack bar, vending route, café, sundry shop, gift shop, newsstand, espresso bar and cafeteria
  • Executes agreements, contracts, and permits for facility spaces.
  • Performs equipment inventory every two years and product inventory when vendors transfer facilities.
  • Coordinate with BE Equipment Coordinator, Architects, Contractors, Building Grantor, etc to design, construct and equip facility.
  • The BE Consultant coordinates a panel that interviews for the vendor position.
  • The Consultant works in conjunction with the blind vendor to design menu or determine inventory for new facility and assist in hiring employees to include the completion of required employment forms.
  • The Consultant forms and instructs vendors of applicable federal and state laws, rules, and regulations pertaining to business, safety and health codes of facilities.
  • Evaluate facility annually for financial growth, profitability and market standing and work with vendor to create a Plan of Action as applicable.
  • Trains vendor on financial reports, settlement reports, assisting and setting up a business account and stresses timely submission of reports for accurate accounting purposes.
  • Instructs blind vendors on duties, performance expectations, and performance measurement criteria.
  • Install and update USA (or other) Technology devices, if applicable, and communicate all changes, updates and discrepancies to Warehouse Associate
  • Supervises each vending location ‘on site’ on a regular basis.
  • Resolves emergency, such as robberies, burglaries, spoilage, and unexpected absences according to established procedures.
  • Assist vendors in learning current and technology, training of new employees and counsels the vendor on a regular basis to enhance performance of operation.
  • Confers regularly with staff to review employee relations climate, specific problem areas and actions necessary for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies for improving key metrics and business operations.

Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers and smartphones.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Working Conditions:Incumbents working in this job perform duties in an office setting. This is a 40-hour workweek requirement. The position may involve managing a high-volume workload and demands a high level of accuracy while working with deadlines. Regular attendance is an important part of being successful in this position.
