
Front Desk Coordinator

- Greet and assist all guests entering the Corps facility with professionalism and warmth.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate departments or personnel; take and relay messages when staff are unavailable.
- Distribute and screen volunteer applications in accordance with The Salvation Army’s protocols.
- Coordinate all volunteer recruitment efforts for Corps and Shelter operations.
- Organize and assign volunteer drivers for food pickups, donations, and related transportation needs.
- Lead and manage volunteer support for seasonal programs including:
- Summer Feeding Program: Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers.
- Christmas Shop & Angel Tree Program: Coordinate community and individual volunteer participation.
- Kettle Campaign & Rolling Thunder Toy Drive: Recruit and coordinate individual and group volunteers.
- Provide administrative support to the Social Services Department as needed, including assistance with programs such as ESFP and Columbia Gas.
- Maintain a tidy, welcoming, and organized front desk environment at all times.
- Directly oversee and manage all individual and group volunteers, ensuring proper orientation, scheduling, and support throughout their service.
- High school diploma
- Associate degree in Ministry, Business Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred but not required.
