
SURGICAL TECHNICIAN - FIRST ASSIST (CERT) FULL TIME DAY

- Completes annual contact requirements, attends 75% of the unit meetings either by attendance or reading of the minutes.
- Attend all mandatory in-services.
- Documentation of 10 educational hours in addition to mandatory in-services.
- Participates in orientation and cross training of new employees, students, and department personnel as requested and documented in chronological order.
- Demonstrates correct Materials Management (instruments, sponges, needles, etc.)
- Displays various transfer techniques with sharps, as needed.
- Accountability of surgical objects.
- Accountability and care of surgical specimens.
- Demonstrates self-directed learning and participates in continuing education annually to met own professional development and department specific requirements.

QualificationsRequirements:High school graduate or GEDBLS certification required.Certified First Assistance (CFA) required.Three (3) years OR experience preferred.
