- Develop and implement performance management processes to proactively address performance and development needs for leaders
- Co-design and facilitate leadership development programs to build managerial capabilities within the organization
- Review key business performance targets and their related talent implications with business leaders
- Facilitate long-term initiatives aligned with the strategic agenda.
- Supervises People Relations Specialist(s) to ensure administration of department is continuous and supports the team
- Handles escalated matters ranging from performance management, investigations, complaints, ADA/LOA cases across the organization
- Oversees separation agreements, guidelines and ensures consistency across the organization
- Analyses employee relations data to create proactive solutions to tackle ER trends and patterns
- Identifies and recommends retention strategies and positive employee relations initiatives
- Stays current on employment law. Proactively researches information to ensure compliance, provide appropriate consultation, and avoid/eliminate exposure to the organization
- Liaises with Legal Counsel as required
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum of seven (7) years of Employee Relations and Performance Management experience required
- Bachelor's degree required
- Executive presence: resilience, consultative style, & ability to articulate complex ideas into simple terms?
- Proficiency in ADA, FMLA, worker's compensation, etc. preferred
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR) designation or equivalent, preferred
- Significant experience in owning, handling and executing employee relations investigations and preparation of appropriate documentation.
- Experience providing employee relations support virtually to team members in multiple locations.
- Exceptional communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Diplomatic and ability to build relationships across the enterprise and at all levels
- Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day.
- Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. This includes using multiple software programs and inquiries simultaneously.
