In this pivotal role within the Payments & Fintech Partnerships (PFP) division, you will oversee and enhance operational processes and systems while serving as the first line of defense for vendor, merchant, and program manager due diligence. Working closely with AML and PFP Compliance teams, you will ensure regulatory, contractual, and procedural compliance, supporting the bank's mission of innovation and exceptional service.Responsibilities:
Work closely with the PFP team to request and review due diligence documentation, preparing summary analyses and risk assessments for vendors, merchants, and program managers
Maintain master schedules and records for ongoing due diligence reviews to ensure timely completion
Manage the master schedule for updates to departmental policies, risk assessments, and procedures
Conduct periodic file audits to ensure compliance with departmental procedures
Coordinate documentation requests from the bank's Vendor Management department and regulatory agencies
Facilitate interdepartmental reviews as required by policy
Monitor and track new or updated regulatory requirements related to third-party due diligence
Partner with the PFP Compliance team to develop comprehensive quality control reviews that reduce risk and enhance operational efficiency
Provide direct management and leadership for the Operations team within Payments & Fintech Partnerships
Drive continuous process improvements across the department
Mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders across Compliance, BSA/AML, Project Management, Treasury Management, IT, and Retail BankingRequirements:
5+ years of operations and due diligence experience at a Sponsor Bank, preferably in acquiring, issuing, third-party payment processing (TPPP), and fintech
Extensive experience in Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance
Recent experience with Card Issuing, Acquiring, Fintech Relationships, Visa Direct, Visa DPS, MasterCard Send, and/or major card processors preferred
Experience in product management, creating operational procedures and risk management guidelines
Proven leadership experience managing high-performing operational teams
Background in due diligence and operations for issuing and acquiring programs, as well as TPPP, within a Sponsor Bank environment
Strong track record of building efficient processes and ensuring compliance with due diligence requirements for issuing, acquiring, and TPPP programs
Ability to thrive at the intersection of business operations, product, data, compliance, and technology
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)The expected compensation for this role includes a base salary of $130,000-$160,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
