About this JobIn your role as an Administrative Coordinator with the Registrar of Voters Office, you will help to administer Louisiana's voter registration laws by maintaining accurate voters rolls and support election operations. Minimum QualificationsOne year of experience in administrative services.EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for six months of the required experience.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be found .Job Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:
  • Screens, routes, and resolves telephone calls, or accesses appropriate staff to resolve the same.
  • Provides customer service to the public (voters, candidates, elected officials, and private and public interest groups).
  • Sorts and directs all mail and elections documents, screens and verifies accuracy of voter registration applications, and as appropriate, evenly distributes to team members on a daily basis.
  • Files and scans daily.
  • Screens voter applications for accuracy and for prior registrations daily.
Position-Specific Details:Appointment Type: ProbationalOvertime Requirements: For every election cycle, the selected applicant must be available to work on the two Saturdays during early voting, extended daily hours during early voting and also the day of the election which is normally a Saturday.
