Job Description:Facility: Sisters of Charity HospitalShift: Shift 1Status: Per Diem FTE: 0.100000Bargaining Unit: ACE AssociatesExempt from Overtime: Exempt: NoWork Schedule: Days and Evenings with Weekend RotationHours:730-330Summary:The Registered Vascular Technologist, Community Benefit Vascular Screening is responsible for producing quality images quickly, independently, and unsupervised with the ability to interpret image data for the specified examinations in a limited timeframe. This position is also responsible for being able to draw conclusions from the image data and produce clear and concise results for supervising medical staff.Responsibilities:EDUCATION
  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and/or school of Ultrasonography
  • New York State license as a “General Radiologic Technologist” and current New York State Department of Health certificate of registration as a Radiologic Technologist preferred
  • Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (RVT) or ARRT-RVS required
EXPERIENCE
  • A minimum of one (1) year working experience as Ultrasound Staff Technologist or one (1) year relevant clinical experience as a graduate of an accredited Ultrasonography program, that includes a clinical internship inclusive of Vascular ultrasound procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
  • Excellent interpretive skills as it pertains to the knowledge and application of ultrasound processes, procedures and requirements.
  • Ability to adjust to multiple work environments, including the use of various types and/or manufacturers of ultrasound equipment.
