We take pride in being a place employees want to work, as well as eagerly pursue quality outcomes for patients and families alike.How you'll contributeThe Nurse Manager assists the CNO in directing all nursing activities within the hospital and in assessing and monitoring the quality of nursing services provided. Assists the CNO in recruitment and interviewing of staff and evaluation of employee performance. Conducts new employee training and orientation. Assist in review and revision of policies and procedures. Participates in departmental and team meetings to discuss patient care and develop treatment plans. The Nurse Manager is also a working RN and routinely personally executes nursing care duties to ensure quality patient care and proper execution and documentation of the treatment plan.A Nurse Manager who excels in this role:
  • Ensures appropriate staffing for their shift and the following shift. Minimizes use of agency and overtime. Demonstrates good judgment in assessing acuity levels to determine appropriate staffing.
  • Assists in monitoring attendance by accurately reporting staff tardiness, absences, leave early and stay late behavior.
  • Assists in communication with staff verbally and written, to ensure staff are aware of policy or procedure changes, meetings, or other important information.
  • Performs evaluations and disciplines in an appropriate and timely manner.
  • Ensures the delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies.

Two years' leadership experience preferred.Additional Requirements: CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days.
