- Perform Quality Control and Assurance procedures according to Grain Millers Standard Operating Procedures. (SOPs)
- Perform daily Audits to ensure personnel are following GMP, Safety, and Grain Millers procedures.
- Be able to perform a variety of tests, some of which are: moisture determination, volume (bulk density), absorption, granulation (sieve analysis), and enzyme level determinations.
- Inspect incoming material, not limited to but including ingredients, packaging, or other raw material, to insure it is up to Grain Millers standard.
- Recognize and report foreign material counts when visually inspecting product.
- Understand product specifications to make correct decisions on whether product gets shipped to customers.
- Properly put product on Hold according to Grain Millers Product Hold Policy.
- Follow GMP regulations to sample product that has already been packaged to retest and reevaluate quality specifications.
- Monitor Production Operators to verify they are carrying out GMP Guidelines and following Safety Regulations.
- Observe CCP Metal Detector tests and review documentation to ensure accuracy.
- Associates or Higher college degree in science or two (2) years of experience in a Quality Control laboratory. (Preferred)
- Previous experience in the food industry (Preferred).
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Able to work both independently and with a team to achieve a common goal.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Able to understand and follow written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Reliably on time, willing to learn, and able to adapt to the work environment.
- Multitask and properly prioritize workload in a fast-paced production environment.
- Demonstrates the ability to problem solve in accordance with Grain Millers procedures.
- React positively when receiving management direction and be able to improve performance.
- Wear PPE and follow Safety Procedures daily.
- Stand for several hours a day.
- Lift 50+ pounds consistently.
- Safely use stairs and ladders
