- Design and develop information systems architectures that align with business goals and objectives.
- Ensure system architecture is aligned with the business requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Define and document the technical specifications, standards, and best practices for the systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions.
- Coordinate and lead implementations of proposed solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance, availability, and security of the systems.
- Provide technical guidance to help troubleshoot issues that arise during the system lifecycle.
- Analyze the current and future state of IT systems and identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve the systems.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Research, enforce, and drive the adoption of design patterns throughout the enterprise and evangelize best practices for solution design and development.
- Communicate and advocate for the usage of Advocate [and drive adoption] of best practices to ensure standardization of business architecture outputs across the enterprise.
- Be an ambassador of Enterprise and System Architecture that broadly communicates the vision, principles, and goals of the IT Architecture Group.
- Strong knowledge relevant technologies including server, storage, virtualization, operating systems, middleware, databases, cloud computing, network topology, Containerization, Orchestration, and security architecture.
- Strong familiarity with cloud providers – Microsoft Azure (Well-Architected Framework Azure Security Architecture design)
- Familiar with modern operation methodologies and concepts (e.g., DevOps, Automation, CI/CD, etc.)
- Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- In-depth understanding of ISO 27001/27002, SOC2, ITIL, and COBIT frameworks
- Familiarity with industry standard compliance assessments
- Knowledge of programming or scripting languages. PowerShell and .Net Core a plus.

- Ability to conduct research into IT security issues and products as required.

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field and/or 7 years equivalent work experience.
- At least 5 years’ experience in a role involving information systems design and development. Experience as an SME or as an Enterprise Architect is a plus.
- One or more of the following certifications:
- AZ-104: Azure Administrator
- AZ-305: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- SC-100: Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- (ISC)2 SCCP
- (ISC)2 CISSP
- (ISC)2 ISSAP
- Certification in relevant information systems frameworks or methodologies is a plus.
