Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of computer/audiovisual software and technology, including learning management systems and supplemental instructional platforms.
- Knowledge of evidence-based nursing education practices.
- Knowledge of nursing accreditation standards.
- Knowledge of current healthcare practices including current technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with a wide range of faculty, staff, students, and clinical partners.
- Ability to effectively engage and motivate students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff, and clinical partners.
- Ability to engage in clinical teaching as per workload assignment.
- Ability to travel to clinical agencies based on workload assignment.
- Ability to travel to other campus sites for teaching as per workload negotiation.
- All applicants must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English in accordance with the Tennessee Board of Regents policy 5:02:01:03.
- DNP or Ph.D. in Nursing (exceptional candidates completing their Ph.D. may be considered but must be awarded prior to the hire date).
- Current National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner with a population focus on Family.
- RN Licensure in the State of Tennessee or Compact State required by the date of hire.
- Preferred greater than or equal to five years' experience in higher education.
