Some of your duties may include:
Answer phone calls from inbound carriers and other GFI divisions in order to schedule appointments and coordinate product being received.
Directly supporting the Receiving Manager to ensure that products are received correctly and timely.
Preparing/print, sort and file receiving paperwork, including Receiving Verification Worksheets, BOL's, and Pallet ID labels.
Coordinate daily work assignments required to get all scheduled PO's received, putaway tasks completed, and slots replenished.
Schedule appointments for all inbound product via Retalix.
Compile and complete detention fees, lumper fees, and other vendor/carrier chargebacks.
Assist Customer Service department with obtaining missing weights and other information needed to complete and Pay vendor product invoices.
File intercompany claims with other GFI divisions as needed to correct errors with intercompany transfer orders
Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, follow-up, and adhere to goals.
Work with Receiving Manager to finalize shift responsibilities.
Conduct yard checks on fleet equipment.
Assists with slotting of product as needed so that all inbound items have a pick location.
Coordinate with IC department as needed for product received short dated or OOD.
Coordinates and schedules the movement of products throughout the warehouse including storage and shipment of finished products.
Manages daily flow of finished products by modifying storage space assignments.
Directs Forklift Operators and Receivers as needed in order to complete all tasks and keep an efficient workflow of product being broken down, tagged, and then put away into storage locations (pick and/or reserve locations).
Manually handles, repacks, or audits products as needed.
Documents all related activities and completes forms and reports, including required NSF and GFI GMP records.
Partners with shipping team for daily manpower allocation purposes.
Performs other related duties as directed.
Things you need to be able to do:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of or ability to quickly learn company product codes and terminology.
Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
Good analytical skills and ability to make sound judgments relative to inventory
Things that are a plus but not a deal-breaker:
2 to 3 years of hands-on experience is a plus.
Microsoft Office
High School diploma.
Demonstrates time management skills.
Organized and detail-oriented, reliable, and demonstrates a high level of motivation.
