Some overtime will be required for emergencies.Clearance RequirementMust be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.Reports ToFacilities Supervisor / Maintenance ManagerJob SummaryWe are seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to perform maintenance, repair, and installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems at Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Albany. The ideal candidate will have experience working in commercial or institutional settings and be capable of independently diagnosing and repairing HVAC and boiler systems.Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC systems and controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair air handlers, split systems, boilers, chillers, VAV boxes, and control systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal codes as well as installation-specific regulations.
  • Maintain logs and service records in accordance with facility and contract requirements.
  • Respond to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations if required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service.
  • HAR (Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) Certification required.
  • Boiler experience highly preferred.
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain base access.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working on government or military contracts.
  • Familiarity with DDC/BAS systems.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices in industrial or government facilities.
