
LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse - Corrections

Details:
- Location: Soledad, CA
- Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour shifts
- Higher Pay for Travelers: Additional compensation for those commuting 50+ miles from the facility
- Employment Type: Contract
- Active California LVN license (in good standing)
- At least 1 year of LVN experience
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
- Ability to pass a strict background check
- Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork
- Administer medications, including oral, topical, and intramuscular injections, as prescribed
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, reporting any abnormalities to RNs or medical providers
- Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and basic medical treatments
- Support patient mobility, hygiene, and activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Conduct health screenings and collect patient medical history
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid or CPR as necessary
- Ensure proper infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and mental health providers to coordinate patient care
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in medical records
- Ensure compliance with CDCR policies, state regulations, and facility protocols
