Department: PathologyJob Title: Interim Director of Neuroautopsy Pathology (Adjoint Professor)Position #00839595: – Requisition #37665:Job Summary:The Department of Pathology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a part-time (.3 FTE) Interim Director of Neuroautopsy at the rank of Adjoint Professor.Key Responsibilities:Duties in this faculty position will include serving as the attending pathologist/neuropathologist to gross and microscopically examine medical autopsy associated brain and spinal cord from medical autopsies performed at the University of Colorado Hospital. This position may also perform consultations on brains or neural tissue referred to the Department of Pathology from outside coroners, hospitals, or foundations. These would be logged in through the department and may be processed using individualized protocols.Work Location:Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, CO.Why Join Us:Welcome to the Department of Pathology of the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus. Our faculty are diversely trained, from veterinarians to physicians and PhD scientists who focus on drug development and cancer research. The Department operates three state of the art reference labs in anatomic pathology, molecular genetic and genomic pathology and cytogenetics, providing national and regional expertise in these rapidly developing clinical fields.Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
  • Medical degree (MD, DO or equivalent) with residency training in anatomic pathology, fellowship training in neuropathology, and board certification in both from the American Board of Pathology.
  • At least 20 years of experience in academic neuropathology and a track record of active participation in medical neuro-autopsy pathology
