- Learn Liability-Driven Investment (LDI) concepts and contribute to the development and implementation of sophisticated hedging solutions
- Design and develop client-facing reports and presentations
- Use advanced investment tools to generate data for client-facing material
- Gain exposure to investment solution design, and then delivery of that solution to a client or prospect
- Review AI-generated content about investment products for accuracy
- Help develop guidelines for AI systems to properly describe investment offerings
- Use hands on financial mathematics skills including application to investments
- Pursuing a degree in financial mathematics, accounting, finance, economics, computer science, or a related field. We also will consider candidates in the process of acquiring a graduate degree
- Exposure to artificial intelligence (AI) concepts and/or practical experience applying AI or machine learning tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of how AI can be used to optimize legacy processes, uncover new insights, and improve existing frameworks across product lines and investment solutions.
- Completion of intermediate level coursework in finance
- Additional exposure to investment concepts through involvement in student organizations or work/intern experiences
- Ideally has previous work/intern experience in asset management or related financial services field
- Ability to work onsite, full time in Des Moines or New York City over the summer of 2026. The preferred location is Des Moines.
- Exposure to FactSet, Bloomberg, or similar
- Ability to write and/or debug code in Python
- You preferably have a 3.5 GPA or higher and/or working towards a CFA charter
- Strong Excel modeling experience
- Ability to pick up new complex ideas quickly and apply them in tasks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and confidently to technical and non-technical audiences
