The Electrical Trainee is a working field position that duels as an assistant and extra set of hands for the branch Foreman and/or Electricians. The Electrical Trainee's main duties will be to provide assistance and technical electrical support to the Foreman and Electricians, and will also work as a team with the Lead and Installers to complete mechanical portions of residential solar installation projects.ResponsibilitiesAssist in the installation of electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the grid power of our customer's residential propertyAssist in the troubleshooting of system problems and help resolve electrical issuesAssemble the racking and solar array when assignedTrenching, concrete work and equipment assemblyProject clean up including client site and installation vehicleEnsure attention to detail with an emphasis on safety, quality, customer service, and productivityDemonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices and standardsDevelop a positive working dynamic within installation crew and branch co-workersQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of electrical installation and repair experienceKnowledge of the NEC and applicable codes and standardsAbility to perform all installation duties of the Installer and Lead InstallerProfessional appearance and customer interactionHave a strong work ethic, high level of craftsmanship/workmanship with strong attention to detailBasic computer knowledge of Microsoft Excel and WordPossess strong mechanical/construction skillsHave excellent verbal communication and documentation skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyMaintain a valid Driver's License5% travel is requiredPhysical DemandsAbility to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)Ability to work safely in a branch/warehouse/rooftop environmentAbility to operate office equipment including computers and determine accuracy of workAbility to interact with co-workers and participate in meetingsAbility to work on rooftops with various angles and surfacesAbility to work in outdoor weather conditionsRecruiter: Charles Smith (Charles.Smith@sunrun.com)Please note that the compensation information is made in good faith for this position only.
