As an MS Compliance Officer I, you will be authorized to conduct detailed research and analysis of confidential and investigative information received from various agencies relating to fraudulently obtained driver licenses and identification cards. This position is authorized to take administrative action as directed under chapter 322, Florida Statutes and report findings in case form to department fraud files, Florida Highway Patrol or other law enforcement, Bureau of Administrative Reviews and courts. This position also assists supervisor by assigning cases, preparing reports and handling special cases or assignments.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Skill reviewing and analyzing driver license records.
- Ability to proofread and verify data for accuracy.
- Skill in drafting correspondence to include emails, letters, and memos.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
- Ability to conduct fact-finding research (investigate) and collect data.
- Ability to analyze information and compile data in report format.
- Skill in the use of Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of EXPERT, FRVIS, DAVID, CLEAR, CCIS, SharePoint and Motorist Maintenance.
- Knowledge of Driver License procedures, regulations, rules, and policies.
- Skill in customer service.
- Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures relating to driver license and immigration activities.
Preference will be given to candidates with the following:
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience conducting fact-finding research (investigating) and collecting data to complete reports and/or investigations.
- Preference will be given to applicants with experience in data entry and maintaining databases.
- Preference will also be given to applicants with skill in drafting correspondence, including letters, memos and emails, using Microsoft Word.
- The elements of the selection process may include a skill assessment and/or oral interview.
- Applicants being considered for employment will be required to submit to a fingerprint-based background investigation, which will include a check of the criminal history records of the FBI. Fingerprints and associated information/biometrics will be retained in the FBI's Next Generation Identification (NGI) system and fingerprints may continue to be compared against fingerprints submitted to or retained by NGI.
- FLHSMV employees are paid once a month on the last workday of each month. All state employees are required to participate in the direct deposit program pursuant to s. 110.113 Florida Statutes.
