- Creating and executing strategic sourcing plans, policies, and documents for key commodities in alignment with the strategic initiatives of the company.
- Communicating effectively and professionally with all other departments within the company.
- Leading supplier cost reduction and quality improvement programs.
- Creating and managing written supplier contracts.
- Supervising financial audit and physical inventory activities when required.
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to identify and maintain resources needed to establish and provide an effective supply chain.
- Establishing performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of quality and delivery factors affecting the supply chain. Meeting routinely with internal and external suppliers to resolve gaps.
- Leading supply chain team coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
- Providing information and guidance on availability and cost of supplies and materials.
- Identifying and qualifying new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Handling discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Developing and maintaining safety stock levels and forecasting of materials and supplies located at the company and at supplier sites.
- Analyzing current inventories and procedures; suggesting improvements to increase efficiency of supply chain.
- Developing policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implementing subsequent changes to processes.
- Conducting personnel performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Providing Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Procedures.
- Creating and following ISO type process instructions and procedures.
- Actively enforcing company safety policies and procedures
- Initiating Corrective Action plans and documentation when required.
- Providing subject matter expertise for software implementations and upgrades.
- Ensuring the highest level of process compliance and accuracy are maintained for all activities.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of strategic sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong and effective interpersonal verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with employees, suppliers, and customers.

- Work primarily takes place in an office environment. However frequent visits to the manufacturing floor area are required.

- Work may include responding to critical customer driven situations which may result in working some weekends, holidays, and after normal business hours.
