
Inventory Analyst

- Maintain strong in-stock levels and efficient inventory turns by working closely with wholesaler systems and tools.
- Review and adjust replenishment settings and shelf profiles.
- Validate order suggestions to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Update minimum and maximum levels, pack sizes, and order cycles based on trends and availability.
- Track fill rates and lead times to guide inventory strategy.
- Manage seasonal and prebook orders to align with sales forecasts and promotional calendars.
- Place timely pre-book orders that align with forecasts and space.
- Use past performance to guide seasonal quantities.
- Track sell-through and share insights with Category Managers and wholesalers.
- Support store readiness for promotional events through accurate inventory planning.
- Prepare inventory for upcoming ads and promotions.
- Align order timing with deal windows and product flow.
- Work with category teams to adjust for wholesaler-driven promotions.
- Provide reporting and insights to improve inventory performance and address supply gaps.
- Compare planned vs. received orders and flag discrepancies.
- Identify risks from item changes, discontinuations, or allocations.
- Maintain dashboards and reports on inventory KPIs.
- Analyze issues (e.g., out-of-stocks, overstocks) and suggest fixes.
- Support business reviews with data and trends.
- Collaborate with teams to guide decisions using analytics.
- Serve as the main point of contact between stores, merchandising, and the wholesaler for inventory-related matters.
- Work with wholesaler teams to resolve stock/order issues.
- Ensure store-level setups and catalog changes are accurate.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory planning, merchandising analytics, or demand forecasting.
- Grocery, retail, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry experience preferred.
- Experience working with a wholesale grocery distributor or understanding of wholesaler ordering systems preferred.
