Your role will involve anticipating and evaluating hazardous conditions while implementing safety programs to prevent employee injuries and illnesses. You will assist in monitoring safety compliance, facilitate training sessions, and conduct job hazard analyses at various job sites. Requirements include the ability to climb scaffolds and enter confined spaces, ensuring health and environmental risks are minimized. Ability to work the 2nd shift and overtime as required.
Ability to perform various physical tasks including grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, crawling, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, and working overhead.
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces, such as manholes, and maintaining awkward positions for extended periods.
Capable of performing indoor and outdoor work in varying temperatures and weather conditions. Must be able to work in areas that may not be environmentally controlled.
Ability to lift, move, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit for extended periods, particularly when working at a desk or on a computer.
Must have listening and hearing ability as well as visual acuity to safely navigate shipyard environment.
This position must be able to drive company vehicles and maintain a current and valid driver's license.
Ability to speak effectively in front of large groups
Ability to lead by example and hold employees accountable when not following company safety requirements.
