Overview:The NV5 Security Practice is seeking a Design Engineer to work with a team to design and oversee the installation and integration of advanced physical security systems for Nuclear Power Generation Facilities. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the nuclear standard design process.Work Environment:
  • Location: Hybrid client location in Charlotte, NC & work from home (no relocation assistance provided)
  • Travel: 20% of the time
  • May require flexible hours to accommodate customer needs and for travel requirements

  • Designing physical security systems, including access control, surveillance cameras, alarms, and sensors.
  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate security measures into building plans and infrastructure.
Qualifications:Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
  • Knowledge of Nuclear industry standards and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
