- Early Childhood Education: Associate’s Degree in related field. Must maintain CPR certification. Training experience in Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards, Pyramid Model, Strengthening Families, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, or Train the Trainer for Abusive Head Trauma are preferred.
- Emergency Medical Technician (EMT): EMT Technical Diploma or equivalency of a current State of Wisconsin EMS License and NREMT Certification. Must be presently licensed or eligible for licensure by Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) as an EMT. Must hold current license/certificate as Emergency Services Instructor II issued by the State of Wisconsin DHS – Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Section, current certification with the NREMT at the EMT level or higher, current licensure with the State of Wisconsin at the EMT level or higher, and current Basic Life Support Instructor certification with the American Heart Association.
- Fire Protection Technician: Associate’s Degree (if only teaching CEU courses, there is no degree requirement). Must have current Wisconsin certification as a Firefighter II and Fire Officer (Driver/Operator – Pumper certification preferred). Must be certified at NFPA 1041 Fire Instructor Level 1. Commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A with Tanker endorsement is preferred. Valid Federal medical card preferred.
- Paramedic Technician: Bachelor’s Degree in related occupational field. Must be presently licensed or eligible for licensure by Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) as an EMT. Must hold current license/certificate as Emergency Services Instructor II issued by the State of Wisconsin DHS – Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Section, current certification with the NREMT at the Paramedic level or higher, current licensure with the State of Wisconsin at the Paramedic level or higher, and current Basic Life Support Instructor certification with the American Heart Association.
- Substance Abuse Counseling: Associate’s Degree. Must be accredited by the State of Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services. Preffered qualitifacations include: Substance Abuse Counselor (SAC), Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), or Intermediate or Independent Clinical Supervisor (ICS). *Experience required in the content area being taught.
- *PT Faculty Occupational Experience Standards. Two (2) years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one (1) year (2,000 hours) of related paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five (5) years. In lieu of this one (1) year (2,000 hours) of recent experience, two (2) years of postsecondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five (5) years may be considered. (Two (2) years of post-secondary teaching experience means eight (8) semesters of part-time teaching or four (4) semesters of full-time teaching at an accredited institution.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to convey ideas and concepts in a professional manner. Ability to adjust to variance in communication and learning styles of students. Ability and willingness to communicate regularly with students and other internal and external customers.
- Ability to understand and promote the educational philosophy and programs that MPTC offers. Willingness to grow and evolve with the College’s educational philosophy.
- Experience working and participating in a team environment and collaborating with other individuals and teams to meet student needs. Willingness to help students and team members grow and learn.
- Experience with the MS Office Suite, the internet, and email. Ability to deliver instruction at NRS levels 1-6. Ability and willingness to learn new technologies. Experience with online learning platforms and student management systems preferred.
- Ability and willingness to continuously learn and accept constructive feedback.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Must be able to manage time and schedule effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills.
