This position will be responsible for both sales and field operations by providing direction and leadership for continuous improvement initiatives, developing and leading a high performing team, and meeting or exceeding the region’s business objectives.Essential ResponsibilitiesMeeting all financial performance targets including profit and working capital for 3 large branchesNurture relationships with existing key customers; consultants; general contractors and strategically develop new onesOngoing coaching, training, mentoring, motivating, and developing general managers, sales, and field operation associates in all areas of the businessOversight of all staffing activities, including hiring and retaining a group of salaried and field associates as well as partnering with Human Resources for short and long-term strategiesOversee sales strategy including integration of sales growth; pricing analysis and market segment share objectives for assigned branchesRefine existing programs and develop & lead new ones to increase sales, awards and bookingsWork collaboratively with the senior regional leadership team and regional functional leaders to identify and help execute strategic goals and objectivesAssess patterns of complaints and determine solutions to ensure customer satisfactionDrive a safety culture throughout territory through communication, discipline, recognition and trainProvide coaching and oversight across business segments to execute a quality turnover product and processLead forecast meetings for sales associates in the branchDrive Performance to Estimate in the branch officesEnsure adherence to Sales Installation Process (SIP)Education / CertificationsBachelor’s degree requiredMasters’ degree preferredBasic Qualifications10+ years of combined sales, field operations, and/or branch leadership experience requiredAbility to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environmentCandidate must demonstrate strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customersNeeds to be self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilitiesSuccessful candidate should be very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer softwareStrong leadership skills, customer focus, ability to drive results, goal-orientated, with strong time management and organizational skillsAdditional QualificationsPrior P&L experienceTravel: Travel Required (approximately 10%)Location/RelocationThis position is required to be in Des Moines, IA.There is a benefit to having a candidate familiar with the market; however, we encourage all interested, qualified candidates to apply.Relocation assistance may be available for out-of-market candidates.Otis is the world’s largest elevator and escalator manufacturing, installation and service business.
