- Consulting Strategy: Define a sound business growth strategy built on industry consulting and technology consulting (digital, analytics, and engineering) strengths. Focus on growing Consulting to 20% of unit strength with higher billing rates and margins. Help in creating new business opportunities and new business wins (pipeline and order book).
- Business Growth: The successful candidate is expected to shape, lead, and drive transformation engagements by working closely with CXOs and internal Wipro teams. The individual is also expected to lead consulting workshops to craft future state functional and solution roadmaps.
- Solutions: Identify and define differentiated services and solutions for various process areas within the retail industry. Create and continuously refine cutting-edge retail solution showcases to be demonstrated across Wipro’s Technovation centers.
- Thought Leadership: Be Wipro’s voice and a recognized thought leader across industry forums, partner events, and customer interlocks. Publish, speak, and mentor on a range of forward -looking topics around various Retail and Distribution industry segments and functions.
- Branding: Create a strong Wipro market positioning – increase Wipro’s mindshare in the Retail ecosystem (product companies, analysts, and influencers).
- Strategic thinking: Big picture orientation and conceiving effective strategies to drive growth.
- Demand Shaping: Consultative influencing and proactive shaping of consulting opportunities.

- Minimum 15 years of industry experience with the past 10 years being in a Distributed order management and Omni-channel management consulting leadership position.
- Deep expertise in enabling global distributed order management platforms in the fields of B2B, B2C, B2B2C.
- Exposure to tier-1 order management and omni products specifically for the Consumer (Retail, Distribution and CPG) industries including but not limited to Sterling Commerce DOM, Manhattan EOM and others.
- Deep understanding of use of global inventory visibility to enable omni-channel operations for ecommerce and Direct to consumer
- Understanding of how to use distributed order management in customer service and store operations to enable omni-channel enablement
- Ability to architect and propose solutions to Omni-channel commerce and supply chain problems using a blend of OMS suite of products, best-of-breed packagesand custom solutions
- Lead business and technical discussions with client, onsite and remote teams and support the Project Manager /Delivery Manager in ensuring project deliverables are on time and of high quality.
- Guide customers and Wipro project teams through OMS or other Application implementations, upgrade projects
- Advise Project management team on project planning, milestone definition, go-live and solution rollouts, risk identification and mitigation
- Provide guidance to Wipro management team to respond to RFPs and prepare estimates for software implementation projects
- Create best practices and develop reusable frameworks to accelerate project execution
- Identify, learn and champion new technologies, innovative software development & delivery methodologies and new versions of best-of-breed industry products
- Functional expertise in Retail (predominantly in distributed order management , omnichannel, store operations, planning is a plus) and CPG (Direct to Consumer)
- Experience or exposure to software lifecycles including defining engagements.
- Ownership in Solution incubation and IP-creation.
- Experience in consultative selling and creating client business case for value-based pitches.
- Connects with industry distributed order management product ecosystem players including vendors and niche boutique consulting firms
- Sets a compelling direction for the business and innovative strategies to address customer needs.
