The Senior Accountant is responsible for performing advanced accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and
integrity in the company’s financial records, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes. This
role will serve as a key resource for financial reporting, compliance, and process improvements, while
providing guidance to junior accounting staff.Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Track and analyze program costs, work-in-progress (WIP), and project margins for aviation
integration projects. * Ensure the accuracy of reporting inventory raw material, finished goods and work in processand manage monthly cycle counts. * Monitor, analyze, and report on general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy andcompleteness. * Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable tax, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing requested documentation and
explanations. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in accountingoperations. * Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions as needed.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate
reporting. * Mentor and provide guidance to accounting staff, fostering professional development.Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate or manufacturing
environment. * Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, QuickBooks, or similar) with a
preference for Global Shop Solutions experience. * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and must be customer service oriented.
  • Ability to perform work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be available for occasional weekend and after-hours work
  • Ability to read, write and speak the English language.
  • Must pass background verification, pre-employment drug testing, and submit to company's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Program.
  • Must be able to pass a TSA/CVG background check to obtain and maintain TSA/CVG badging.
