Capstone Search Advisors is searching for a Food Technologist for a local food manufacturer.Performs a variety of duties relating to Research & Development in a food manufacturing facility These duties include but are not limited to the development of new products from initial bench-top concept to a commercially producible product, provide technical support to other departments such as sales and production, and reverse engineering recipes.Responsibilities:Knowledge of food ingredient functionalityAbility to read and analyze formulasAbility to write product spec’s and proceduresAbility to collect and analyze dataReverse engineering recipesMust be able to use lab analytical equipmentKnowledge and understanding of GMP’s, SSOP’s, Allergens, food safety rules and regulations Knowledge of USDA and FDA regulationsComplies with all company policies and proceduresMust have excellent communication skillsUnderstand and adhere to government regulations and documentation requirementsMust be able to provide written or face to face reports on progress on projectsAbility to work well with othersCoordinates tasting panels.Requirements:2+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
