
Associate Professor/Professor of Computer Science

- Serving as program director for one or more MS programs
- Assess program effectiveness and update curriculum as needed
- Faculty recruitment, development, supervision, and evaluation
- Advise students on semester course registration
- Determine admissions decisions on a timely basis and attend recruitment events
- Develop, maintain, and communicate semester course schedules and logistics
- Increasing grant awards and R&D projects that can lead to patents, industry engagement, and opportunities for faculty and students, as well as collaborations across the University
- Teaching graduate courses
- Partnering with the Chair to create a long-term vision for the Department of Graduate CSE and build a rich on-campus experience for its programming
- Contributing to student research/internships, excellent/experiential teaching strategies, and service
- Other duties as assigned
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or its related field from an accredited college or university
- Strong record of research and external funding. Preference will be given to those candidates with research/grants in the focus areas of the department
- Demonstrated expertise in academic administration and leadership, including the ability to build a collaborative, productive, and engaged group of computer scientists
- Ability to manage complex projects from start to finish in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- An industry network that can provide research projects and internships

The Katz School is seeking grant-active research faculty for a tenured or accelerated tenure-track position with the rank of associate professor or professor. The newly established Graduate CSE Department includes programs in AI, Data Analytics and Visualization, and Cybersecurity, as well as the Katz School's Internet of Things (IoT) Lab and Security Operation Center (SOC). The Katz School currently has research partnerships with several industry and academic institutions, including Standard and Poor's, Audi Motors, Einstein College of Medicine, and the Renal Research Institute. The school's current STEM programs are experiencing an exciting period of rapid growth in collaborative research (within and outside the University), grant activity, industry partnerships, and technological innovation as well as a significant expansion of highly qualified Master's students in Computer Science, AI, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Mathematics, who have the option to pursue doctoral degrees in our Ph.D. program in Mathematical Sciences.Current opportunities Position Department Location
