- Ability to work successfully with prospects, customers, and cross functional teams to meet sales goals
- Will travel to prospective customer sites as necessary
- Ability to deliver detailed documentation and accurate Bills of Materials
- Required 3+ years of experience working in designing networking solutions for a consulting firm or VAR, or another equivalent
- Sales engineering and/or pre-sales experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills in a dynamic fast-paced environment
- A strong working knowledge of networking (enterprise route/switch)
- Technical expertise in (ASA, ISE, Firepower, Palo Alto, Fortinet etc.)
- Desire to learn multiple solutions across a wide range of enterprise, security and data center network technologies
- Working knowledge of SDN solutions is a plus
- Ability to lead demos, proof-of-value for customers
- Ability to develop high-level designs and architectures to ensure smooth transition from design to delivery
- Ability to assist customers and account team with understanding and architecting appropriate network and/or security solutions
- CCNA or other vendor certifications preferred
