- Test, repair, operate, modify, inspect, and certify lifting equipment in compliance with federal OSHA, ASME, and recognized National Standards.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all types of rigging equipment to include non-mobile overhead cranes, chain falls, come-a longs, slings, spreader bars, shackles, lifting eyes and miscellaneous rigging equipment.
- Perform load testing for rigging and overhead cranes.
- Perform preventive maintenance on overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
- Provide replacement parts information on proper documentation to Crane Lead for ordering.
- Initiates and maintains positive working relationships with client representatives within each facility, as well as other internal and external customers to facilitate project activities.
- Understands current and future customer needs and continually strives to exceed customer expectations.
- Possesses a basic understanding and knowledge of the terms and conditions of contracts, including the scope of work and associated client deliverables.
- Manages work in accordance with project goals, contract and customer requirements and expectations, including performance, quality, compliance, and safety as outlined in the contract terms and conditions.
- Regularly seeks customer feedback, measures customer satisfaction and acts on results to improve performance.
- Adheres to Work Execution Plan expectations, including assigning work in accordance with work management processes and ensures the safe execution of work within the planned and approved scope, job plans, timelines, and approved budgets.
- Evaluates risks, consequences and impacts of activities on customers and other key individuals as well as what in the business may potentially cause harm to people or property.
- Drives, promotes, and instills a culture of “Safety Leadership” that is incident and injury free and in which all employees feel responsible for safety and pursue it daily.
- Promotes a safety culture that supports and encourages employees to go beyond the “call of duty” to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors and are comfortable intervening to correct inappropriate behaviors and concerns.
- Educates and trains fellow inspector/mechanics on the requirement to assess the risks applicable to tasks and required work.
- Ensures that employees have the understanding and capability to implement appropriate procedures and/or controls to reduce risk to an acceptable level and that each use any required personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Documents and ensures that corrective measures are implemented when required.
- Work in conjunction with coordinator, lead, and foreman in planning scheduled repair work.
- Write, organize, and update repair reports, to include crane maintenance records.
- Interpret and apply blueprints, maintenance manuals, and technical manuals.
- Willing to routinely work at heights.
- Routinely operate Worley/client light and/or medium duty vehicles.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to plan, coordinate and execute high priority jobs in a timely manner that would involve multiple crafts (drill site operation, general maintenance, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, electrical, etc.).
- Ability to use tools and equipment applicable to petrochemical operation or related maintenance operation.
- Ability and knowledge to interpret blueprints and redline drawings.
- Knowledge of technical and safety policies, procedures, and standards applicable to the maintenance craft.
- Ability to communicate clearly with crew, Leads, management and client representatives.
- Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers; and demonstrate commitment to established safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to direct others in planning and scheduling work execution.
- Ability to recognize and correct gaps in the safe execution of field maintenance work scope.
- Extensive knowledge of the use/application of rigging hardware, chain falls, and lever operated hoists.
- Familiar with principals of lubrication.
- Possesses a wide range of mechanical knowledge of hoists and cranes.
- Able to maintain crane maintenance records.
- Ability to communicate safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
- Ability to read and understand schematic, blueprint/drawings, job descriptions, maintenance/safety/technical manuals, and safety/warning signs.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Understanding of instrumentation, air, and electrical knowledge to repair pneumatic systems and communicate with electricians.
- Self-motivated, self-directed individual.
- Trained and certified to inspect rigging & below the hook lifting devices from 100 lbs. to 75 tons.
- Trained and certified to inspect non mobile cranes, wire rope, chain falls, come-a-longs from 100 lbs. to 75 tons.
- Advanced knowledge of operation, installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of non-mobile cranes.
- Advanced knowledge of inspecting rigging and below the hook lifting devices.
- Advanced knowledge of lubrication principals and crane pneumatic systems.
- Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.

- Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
- Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
- Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
- Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
- Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.
