All employees are expected to work primarily physically within the State of Maryland.Primary Duties: * Conducts routine biological procedures such as gel electrophoresis, protein purification, immunoblotting, PCR, and DNA cloning.
Preparation of chemical solutions, media, reagents, stains, and buffers.
Conducts sterile cell culture techniques and transfections.
Maintains mouse colony, including genotyping, weaning, and mouse crosses.
Performs cryosectioning and staining of tissues.
Conducts immunofluorescence microscopy.
Collects, records, and enters research data.
Uses computer software programs for data analysis.
Performs general housekeeping of laboratory, and operation of laboratory equipment such as centrifuges, meters, microscopes, incubators, autoclaves, and spectrometers.
