Talis Group is proud to partner with a market-leading manufacturer seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join their Louisville, KY plant leadership team. This is a high-visibility role at a growing company known for its innovation, quality, and strong customer relationships.In this role, you’ll be a strategic business partner on-site while collaborating with other HR leaders across the U.S. You’ll manage a local HR Generalist, report to a corporate VP of HR, and work closely with plant leadership and union to foster a positive, productive, and safety-first workplace.Why This Role Stands Out: Competitive salary ($125K–$135K) + 10% bonus opportunity

  • Partner with plant leadership to align HR strategies with business goals
  • Build strong employee relationships—be a visible presence on the floor
  • Lead employee engagement, retention, and performance management initiatives
  • Support recruitment and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles
  • Oversee compliance, benefits, and HR reporting requirements
  • Collaborate with other site HR Managers on best practices and training programs
  • Manage labor relations and serve as liaison between union and management
  • Provide counsel on discipline, investigations, and policy enforcement
  • Foster a positive, safety-driven culture rooted in transparency and respect
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor's degree in HR or related field
  • 7+ years’ HR experience in a manufacturing setting
  • Must have some experience in HR leadership role
  • MUST have experience in union environment
  • Confident navigating a matrixed organization and building relationships at all levels
  • Strong knowledge of labor law, compliance, and HR best practices
  • Experience using HRIS systems and Excel for reporting and analytics
  • A proactive, approachable, and self-directed professional with strong communication skills
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred
