Learn more at www.coopersurgical.com.Job Summary:As part of the Global IT Compliance group, this role will aid in the facilitation and audit evidence collection of SOX IT control activities, establish and support a collaborative work environment and perform IT control process documentation. Areas of documentation include, but may not be limited to, IT compliance requirements, system access management, SOX readiness testing, and change management. The person who fills this role will need to be proactive; have IT audit experience and/or certifications; understand IT terminology, concepts, practices and supporting processes; and be able to work with limited supervision. The IT Compliance Sr Analyst will work closely with both internal cross-functional team members as well as internal and external auditorsThe IT Compliance Sr Analyst will be responsible for conducting SOX IT readiness assessments for applications being brought into scope for SOX ahead of audits. The IT Compliance Sr Analyst will facilitate IT audit evidence collection for the annual SOX audit and will be responsible for communications with internal and external auditors.Responsibilities:Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
  • Under guidance of Senior Manager and working closely with application support teams, design, implement and monitor Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) IT general computer controls for all new applications onboarded to the Global SOX program to test readiness of controls before the annual SOX audit
  • Perform completeness and accuracy testing of data queries and other key reports used for IT control execution
  • Work closely with internal and external auditors during the annual SOX audit scheduling meetings, gathering evidence, and supporting Global IT Compliance Sr Manager with audit management
  • Work closely with global departments involved in IT controls related to SOX such as Finance, IT Security, Networking, Legal, etc.
  • Document audit support procedures and process flows when needed
Travel:International travel up to 10%, off-hour meetingsQualifications:Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 and IT general controls. This includes expertise in assessing and implementing access management, change management, back up & recovery, job schedule monitoring, data center controls and IT operations controls.
  • Experience with SOX IT audit processes and documentation
  • Experience reviewing SOC1, SOC 2, ISO and other audit reports
  • Familiarity with IT internal control frameworks
  • Strong understanding of technology and ability to suggest technological solutions
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Adapts readily to changes in workload, staffing and scheduling
  • Detailed-oriented, independent and thorough in examination and analysis
  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Experience working in a team-oriented in a collaborative manner
Work Environment:
  • Normal office environment.
  • Sedentary to light physical effort necessary to perform the job
  • Extensive contact with employees in the US and global locations, and with external vendors and auditors
  • Fast paced and ambiguous
Experience:
  • 5+ year IT internal controls experience required.
  • 5+ year Experience with SOX IT audit processes and documentation
  • Workiva, ServiceNow, Excel skills a plus
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems or a related discipline required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CISA, CIA, CPA or equivalent certification preferred
