This internship will provide support in improving and refactoring existing data ingestion through testing and automation projects. This role will support software projects across the organization by enabling high-quality, well-structured data models and warehouse solutions.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Documents and maps data elements, calculations, and requirements for Power BI reports; reviews with Data Engineering for accuracy.
  • Ingests and automates data from existing pipelines into Snowflake, including notifications for new data.
  • Formats, organizes, and validates data, including historical data, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to define business use cases and data needs.
  • Analyzes and documents entity relationships; create ERDs for SQL Server databases.
  • Refactors and improves data ingestion services, enhances documentation, and addresses low-priority bugs.
  • Applies data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Pursing a degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • Ability to accept delegated assignments, work with moderate independence.
  • Must have time management skills to handle multiple projects on short deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
