Overview:We are seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician I, also referred to as our Maintenance Worker or Maintenance Specialist. A Hospital Maintenance Tech is responsible for maintaining and repairing non-medical equipment like HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and facility structures to ensure the hospital operates safely and efficiently. ** This is an entry-level or junior type of position. If you have experience or training in HVAC repair, plumbing or electrical systems you are encouraged to apply! Responsibilities:Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):
Perform General and Preventive Maintenance: Handle routine tasks like replacing light bulbs, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems
Support Senior Technicians and Operations: Assist higher-level technicians with complex repairs, help move equipment or furniture, and provide support during facility emergencies such as floods or power outages
Ensure Safety and Compliance: Follow hospital safety protocols, infection control measures, and building codes while reporting any unsafe conditions to supervisors
Manage Tools and Work Areas: Maintain tools and equipment in good condition and help keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and well-stocked
Qualifications:Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have: * Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
Valid state driver's license
Minimum 2 years? experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
